Reorganization Packages

Reorganization Packages – A request to realign the work and/or organizational structure of a work unit.

In addition to submitting an SF-52 through FPPS, the following paperwork is required:

 
  • Justification for reorganization signed by the Director of
  • Current organization charts
  • Proposed organization charts
  • Current functional statements
  • Proposed functional statements
  • Rosters of affected employees listing their respective names, titles, occupational series, grades, and current and proposed organizational codes. The names of employees who are being reassigned should be annotated. Vacant positions that will be filled in the near future should be listed and should include title, occupational series, and proposed code.
  • NASA Position Designation Record 
  • Testing Designated Position Form (TDP) (New position description only) MS Word (20K)
  • Position Description number or new position descriptions where reassignment is necessary
  • Send Functional Statements in electronic form to your HC Assistant for GSFC Organization Manual update.

Timeframe:  Complete the analysis of all reorganization proposals, and provide the final reorganization package to the approving official, within three (3) weeks after receipt of the complete reorganization proposal package.
