Paid Advertisements

Paid Advertisements – The process of placing a job vacancy in a journal, newspaper, or other publication to attract qualified eligibles.

In addition to submitting an SF-52 through FPPS, the following paperwork is required:

  • Position Description or Position Description number if already on file
  • Job Analysis
  • Testing Designated Position Form (TDP) MS Word (20K)
  • NASA Position Designation Record
  • Draft text for advertisement (HRMS available to help draft text)
  • Desired size of advertisement, i.e., half-page….
  • Name of publications and telephone number of the ad department
  • Identify funding source if the cost exceeds Code 110 allocation ($2500 per position)

Timeframe:  This will vary depending on the publication.  Professional journals typically require longer lead times than newspapers for example.
