New Supervisor's Curriculum

Action Learning Group

Overview: This session will be a kick-off for supervisors participating in an action learning process with their peers. Each of the action learning groups will consists of no more than 4 supervisors and a facilitator who would meet together for approximately 2 1/2 - 3 hours once a month for at least 4 months. The goal of these action learning groups is to allow each of the supervisors an opportunity to focus in on an active issue or project that you are involved with. During each session, each of the members would have an opportunity to talk in depth about their project, issue or concern and receive coaching from both the facilitator and from your peers. This is an opportunity for you to simultanelously focus in on an issue that is more important to you, enhance your own coaching and communication skills, and learn more about other departments within Goddard.

During the scheduled session you will learn more about the action learning groups, form into a group and establish the specifics for meeting together. It is essential that you bring your calendars with you to whichever session you attend.
